5. Good electrical insulation. The resistance value of quartz glass is about 10,000 times that of ordinary glass, making it an excellent electrical insulating material. It maintains good electrical performance even at high temperatures.
In the field of chemical engineering, quartz glass can be used to make high-temperature acid-resistant gas combustion, cooling and ventilation devices, evaporation, cooling and absorption equipment for acidic solutions, storage containers, and other physical and chemical laboratory apparatus for the preparation of distilled water, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, etc. In high-temperature operations, it can be used to make optical glass crucibles, electric furnace core tubes, and gas combustion radiators.
